SBM Forum dedicated to sustainable and secondary raw materials

On Friday, April 28, 2023, the SBM Forum

a trade congress on sustainable and ecological materials for the construction and finishing of buildings - took place at the same time as the demonstration trade fair RecyclingAKTIV & TiefbauLIVE at Messe Karlsruhe. Following the successful premiere of the SBM Summit in 2022, where experts mainly exchanged views on sustainable primary raw materials, the forum in the last edition of RATL, in 2023, focused on sustainable secondary raw materials, which mainly come from recycling operations. Very practice-oriented, the speakers' presentations were aimed at recycling companies on the one hand and the construction industry on the other. Topics discussed included sorting by type, new findings on the use of R-concrete, the classification of secondary building materials and plant-based fibers for regional value chains.
