Experience technology live, compare and decide!
Five demonstration formats with theme-specific demonstration building sites and special theme area make RATL truly unique in the trade fair landscape. In around 55 live shows featuring multiple manufacturers, you can experience construction machinery, construction equipment, and recycling plants in professionally staged applications—for a realistic picture of their performance: directly comparable, practical, and with a view to your daily requirements.
On 2,500 m² of exhibition space, powerful systems and handling machines – including those from UNTHA, Komptech, and Doppstadt – demonstrate their capabilities in screening, shredding, and sorting waste wood and green waste. The focus is on pre-sorting, removing contaminants, and producing high-quality wood recyclates.
New this year: viewing platforms not only provide a complete overview of all the machines in operation, but also exciting insights – for example, into the output material or directly into the hopper.
The special theme area scrap & metal at RATL 2025 is presenting itself with a new focus and impressive machines: The focus is on the recycling of car bodies – spectacular in its demonstration, substantial in its message. What used to be laborious manual work is now done by smart helpers: Specialised attachments such as Powerhands facilitate precise dismantling and pre-sorting – an efficiency gain that many only really appreciate when they see it live. Once valuable materials such as aluminum or tanks have been secured, the technical highlight follows: the car body shredder transforms entire vehicle bodies into compact units in seconds – fast, powerful, and with a real show effect. Complemented by further steps in a mobile scrap and metal yard – such as breaking railway tracks – the area impressively demonstrates how modern metal recycling works today.
In the attachment arena, state-of-the-art tools demonstrate three times a day how efficiently they work in conjunction with excavators and quick-change systems – in a hands-on, precise manner and along the entire value chain from demolition to mineral processing.
What can you expect? Professionalism with showmanship: while powerful machines deliver top performance, a live musical act will get the arena rocking – perfectly synchronized with the demolition site's operations.
New in 2025: Your questions – directly in the arena!
Have you discovered a machine that interests you? Do you just need a little push to transfer a solution to your own business? Throw your question into the ring: The arena is your trade fair highlight for answers and “aha” moments relating to demolition and processing!
Infrastructure construction is one of the key areas for the future of the industry: Deutsche Bahn is planning a complete overhaul of 41 sections of track by 2031 – and the 2025 federal budget also sends a clear signal with over € 23 billion earmarked for federal railways and highways. Reason enough for us to dedicate our first demonstration building site to the topic of “infrastructure construction in the context of tracks and surroundings” – in cooperation with VDBUM!
Are you involved in civil engineering and looking for inspiration for your core business – or would you like to tap into related fields? Then come and experience practical application scenarios on and around the track: from earthworks and site preparation to pipe laying and modern surveying technology to actual track bed construction and sleeper laying.
Machine technologies from civil engineering, special civil engineering, and track construction will be on display, including road-rail excavators, rail clamps, tamping machines, suction excavators, and pile drivers.
And best of all, the next generation will be making a big splash here! Trainees from the construction industry in Baden-Württemberg will be demonstrating their skills live – as the real movers and shakers of tomorrow!
Live demonstration: A seamless e-process chain for urban construction sites. Electric mobility has long since arrived on construction sites – especially where noise and emission limits play a role. That's why we are dedicating a separate model construction site to this development at RATL for the third time in a row. What has changed since then? The number of manufacturers and available machines is growing steadily – as are the possible applications. In this year's edition of the electric mobility model construction site, we will show how the entire construction site process in inner-city civil engineering and landscaping can be electrified – in a practical, cross-brand, and live demonstration. From selective demolition to soil preparation, transport, and installation to the finished surface: all work steps are carried out by electrically powered machines and equipment – without compromising on performance or efficiency. For everyone who wants to not only discuss sustainable construction, but also implement it.
